    REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education

    SALARY RANGE: • based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education and experience

    WORK WEEK/YEAR: 183 day school year calendar


    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED.

    • current active Ohio registered nursing license with no restrictions or board actions, and meets Ohio Board of Nursing requirements appropriate for the position as stated in OAC 4723-5-11.

    • minimum of 2 years’ full time RN experience in an acute care setting

    • ability to obtain an adult education permit in the teaching field of

    health occupations (070000), and Office Operations (140000)

    • ability to pass BCI and FBI background checks

    • Meets all mandated health requirements

    • Preferred recent teaching experience in a nursing program

    • Prefer Master’s Science of Nursing

    RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the program manager to develop and implement course of study by articulating clear learning goals/objectives that are appropriate for the student. Syllabus must follow Ohio Board of Nursing requirements

    • Use the course of study to develop and deliver sequenced lessons plans that are submitted on request

    • Assist the program manager with business relationships specific to clinical and/or precepting objectives

    • Monitor student progress effectively by selecting appropriate evaluation strategies

    • Exhibit enthusiasm and a positive attitude in the teaching/learning process
