The Medina County Career Center is accepting applications for the
Education Management Information System (E.M.I.S.) Data Manager
The EMIS Data Manager is responsible for reporting district data to the Ohio Department of Education. This position ensures stability, continuity, and accuracy of the data submission process as well as assesses the quality of the data submitted. The data categories covered by this position include, but are not limited to, data on students, staff, and finances.
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: Appropriate placement per Data Manager’s Salary Schedule, which will commensurate with experience and education
REPORTS TO: Superintendent/Principal or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR: 260 days
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma. Proven experience using a student database information system. Experience reading and interpreting technical documentation including forms and reporting procedures. Proven success maintaining student records (i.e.: attendance, CTSO’s, grades, honors, industry credentials) Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, frequently using Word and Excel with ability to create and maintain several databases. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Proven capability to prepare correspondence to all stakeholders. A motivated self-starter with strong time-management abilities. Able to work quickly and independently, handling multiple projects at one time and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to problem solve. Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with staff and stakeholders. Record of excellent attendance. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with administrators, staff, students, parents, associates, vendors and community members. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree or higher. PowerSchool/PowerTeacher Pro Administrator certifications, Experience with CTE-26’s
